[FIXED] Creating a new Activity Type
August 20, 2014, 08:03:27 am
In the "Add Activity Type" pop-up the user has the choice of allowing their new activity type to be used in "Contacts OR Cases", or "Cases Only".

To clarify, if the user selects "Contacts OR Cases", does this mean they can use the resulting activity type for a) both Contacts and Cases, or b) just one of them (e.g. as soon as the activity type is deployed, let's say for Contacts, it can't then be used for Cases).

If a) is correct, would this option be better named as "Contacts and Cases"?

Hi Erik

And thanks for your enthusiastic interest in this issue. I'm not sure however, exactly what you are saying yes to?

In other words, I believe you are correct in assuming that it is both for Contacts and Cases and it should be better named :-)

Grant - since I wasn't sure either, I did a quick test (easy to do :-) ) - and it does mean 'Contacts AND Cases'. I'll do a quick fix for 4.5.
