Placeholder when token is "NULL"
August 21, 2014, 07:23:33 am
Hello!

I was wondering if there was a way to enter a placeholder if a token value is "NULL".

As an example, we like to address our emails to people's first names. But, some of our contacts only have email addresses. Is there a way for those contacts to have it fill in with "friend" or something else?

Thanks!
-Jessica

Here's an example of how to do exactly that:

our simple workaround which won't be appropriate for many, was to switch from saying

Dear X
to
Hi X

since a simple "hi" looks fine without a name
