'isis' administrator template in Joomla 3
August 25, 2014, 03:30:08 am
The Event Dashboard view of registration status seems to be overly spaced out when running on Joomla 3.3.3 versus 2.5

See 'dashboard25" from Joomla 2.5 from
http://sandbox.joomla.civicrm.org/administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event&reset=1

See 'dashboard333' from same place on my site

This is caused by a "hr { margin: 18px 0; }" statement in the template.css of the 'isis' administrator template that is shipped as a default template in Joomla 3.

I've changed the topic of my posts!

The more I use it, the more I realise that the 'isis' administrator template provided in Joomla 3 clashes with CiviCRM.  I think that we should either advise against using it or someone needs to spend quite a bit of time testing and refactoring the css styling in CiviCRM to make them play together better.

We would welcome some patches/pull-requests to fix this. You can just add style rules to civicrm/css/joomla.css.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

Well I guess I should if it is as simple as the 'hr' styling above. Is there a guide somewhere on how to contribute patches?
