Show Province 'name' not 'abbreviation' on Summary screen

couldn't find a topic about this which seemed unlikely but ... is there  a setting somewhere so that Province shows on contact Summary screen as Name not as Abbreviation?

Esp given that the abbreviation for many Provinces is just a number, showing this on the Contact screen seems less than helpful.

OR can i push for core to change to default to show the 'name'? I can't think whereelse we tend to not show the actual information?

this post seems to raise a related but more substantive issue too - about having a new col for iso-code v human-readable abbreviation

...or have the option to not show Province at all, please.  With the use of postcodes, counties (i.e. provinces) are not very meaningful anymore in the UK and often are not completed.  I live in Derbyshire and this is abbreviated to 'DBY' which is meaningless.

You can choose not to include county and/or not to include State/Province  (two different fields) when you edit an address on Administer > Localization >address settings.

Info that is already in them will still be displayed, but you won't be able to edit it, so you should delete the contents of those fields first.
