Trouble with Paypal Pro
May 17, 2008, 01:00:43 am
I'm trying to get Paypal Pro set up. However, I seem to be having trouble. The set up page for Paypal does not ask for an API URL.

Everything's set up for the processor, except that URL since it doesn't ask for it, but nothing works. You go through the contribute page and it asks for amount and honorarium info, and that's it. It never asks for credit card and billing info.

Help?

for the US, the defaults on the text boxes should be a good start. check this url to see the defaults on demo:

I know it should look like. But I'm missing a field - the API URL field. It's not there.

I have another install that is using Paypal Pro and the field is there. But for some reason it's not there on this one.

The first version of 2.0 added that field by mistake. It's not necessary and was removed in the one of the point releases.

Hmmm, I wonder what's causing the problem then. We have CiviContribute pages set up using the Paypal Pro processor. But you never get asked for your billing info (name, address, credit card number, etc.). It asks for the amount and if it's in honor of someone, then asks you to confirm the amount, and then you're done.

I'll go dig some more and see if I can figure this out.

I figured it out - they didn't click an option they needed to when they originally set it all up.
