Showing list of organizations
September 02, 2014, 08:11:18 am
I try to setup a list in the front with af custom made profile. No matter what I do I get an error 0

You may not be able to visit this page because of:

    an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
    a mistyped address
you have no access to this page
The requested resource was not found.
An error has occurred while processing your request.

I can't figure out how to avoid this. Why can't I access the menu item.
Regards

Well obviously that's not true. There is something you could do to make it work, you just haven't found it yet.
If anyone is going to be able to help, you need to tell us what you have already tried so we can suggest the things you haven't thought of.
Screenshots of how you've set it up would also be helpful.

ok, it was not very self-explanatory, I'm sorry.  ::)

I created a profile that I use to collect data. It works fine.

See: http://dev.kulturhusene.dk.web1.ecase.dk/index.php/medlemmer/indmeldelse

I will then use the same profile to the list of members. When I insert a menu item and using Profile Search Form option, it comes with the attached error.

It apparently has something to do with user rights, but I do not know what I make mistakes or where to look for a solution.

Does it work if you just visit the profile search form link from the back-end profile admin screen?

I don't see this search link. I tried to look for it at the profile page (see attached) but I don't see the search link.

Did you look at the profile permissions.  For a sanity check you could turn all profile permissions on and see if it works. Then turn them all off again, and work out exactly what profile permissions you need for your use case.

Be very careful when working with profile permissions as you can inadvertantly give access to parts of your DB without realiising it - some tips:

Ensure your CMS persmissions are locked down
Ensure 'Standalone Form or Directory' is not checked for all profiles - only the ones you want to be publicly searchable
Have a look at Administer > Users and Permissions > Permissions (Access control) for more fine grained permissions for profiles on a profile by profile basis.

Now I have looked at permissions. As an administrator, I have access to everything, but even as admin or superuser can I access this page.
Where else can I be access restricted?

Hey there,

Sorry but can you clarify?

Do you mean "but even as admin or superuser I can't access this page"?

In the profile page, have you checked the box "Used For [] Standalone Form or Directory"

Also, it looks like you are using URL aliasing.  Might be better to just get it working with the default URLs for now to ensure we are using the right IDs etc.

Hey,

Yes, of course I ment "but even as admin or superuser I can't access this page"? - sorry  ::)

I have checked this box and also the box "Search view" - the box just beside.

I have now turned off the URL aliasing.

If you want, I can in a PM give you access til the backend?

Hey there,

I don't have time to log in and look - sorry.

Just thinking about what I would do it your shoes....

Does this problem affect every profile or just this particular profile?

Are you able to create a simple profile from scratch and have that work?  If so, I would be tempted to re-create your new profile bit by bit, testing all the way so you can see where it breaks.

If it affects all profiles, then, hmmm.... not sure what to suggest.

Michael

I've tried to create a profile only from contacts with only three fields. This profile I can not see the front end.
All the profiles now created, can not be displayed in the front end.
I suspect that there is something generally wrong with the access rights. But that's just a guess. I do not know where to look for the error.
I hope you have even the slightest suspicion, please ...

Clutching at straws now...
You said that you are doing this as super admin - are you sure that super admin has all permissions available (in drupal, it is possible to turn off some permissions even for super admins.
Without knowing more, I would be tempted to try and replicate on a freshly installed Joomla and CiviCRM. At least then you can tell if it is a bug in the system or in your config.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
