After creating an event with a max attendees of 10, I tried to register 15 people from the front end. I received the message that there were only 10 spaces available and that I could choose to be added to the waitlist. Selected yes.

Now, even though no one is registered for the event, the event shows as full. Recreated on the demo site. Is this the expected behavior?

We are running a large event where people often register groups of 20-30 people or more. If one of these groups goes to the waitlist, other smaller groups are then blocked from registering.

I dont think the below use case was anticipated and hence u r seeing this behavior.

Might help if you can ask your developer / consultant to take a look and figure out the bug and a fix for it. Please submit the fix back so others can benefit

Thanks, Lobo. That was my assumption as well but wanted to check. I'll talk with our developers.
