[FIXED] 4.5 beta 9 quick search endless wait
September 06, 2014, 09:42:40 am
I have not been able to get a response from quick search on beta 9, and I notice that when trying to do a direct edit of (say) phone number from the summary screen there is an eternal hang (well, eternal would be exaggerating) with the rotating whatsit.  Whereas the usual functions like search and edit are all working normally. Couldn't reproduce this on the sandbox, but I've tried this on Firefox, Chrome & IE and this is a problem on all these browsers.

You need to clear your cache.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

That was easy... yes, all OK now, thanks.  Has fixed dashboard problem too.  Couldn't clearing the cache be a part of the upgrade process?  Or is this just because of the nature of beta updates?
