Unable to view database on more than one computer

I host a PHP/SQL server through Xampp - using wordpress 4.0
the PC is a dedicated host for CiviCRM, however, i cannot login to the database to more than one computer.   I can login to wordpress on any of the PCs using a specific IP, however i cannot get CiviCRM to load, it keeps timing out.

any suggestions? I have tried to update my host file to see, but no avail..

hmmm, stab in the dark but what is your civicrm root set as in your civicrm.settings.php file? Is it using the IP address?
