Import Error Report Does not Include All Errors

I imported roughly 7,000 contributions and there are reported on screen to about 1,200 errors.  When I download the CSV with the errors their are only 250 errors reported.  Any idea?

this won't be a helpful answer, but yes i recall previous discussions about the error reports cutting off at 250 - not sure if you can find those discussions knowing that they are out there
