So I'm noticing that when we export our CiviEvent and CiviContribute data via CSV file, the state and country fields are outputting the corresponding code numbers from the database. Is it possible to export these fields so it has "USA" vs. having the code # for USA; or for having "Massachusetts" vs. having the code # for Mass?

Is this an easy tweak?

Running version 1.9 on Drupal 5.7.

I think this is related to a problem w/ certain version(s) of PHP. Export is supposed to spit out state and country abbreviations. If you do a search on this forum i think there will some related posts.

... and that's not very helpful. It appears this is a version issue. Sounds like the new version corrects this behavior? We're running version 1.9. Doesn't appear that there's an easy fix to this.

Does anyone know if there's a conversion tool to do this - to convert the code # to the correct abbreviation?

Would a CiviCRM programmer be interested in this type of project?
