passing Google Checkout notifications back for confirmation of membership
May 20, 2008, 01:35:58 pm
Hi,

I'm with an NPO that's trying out Google Checkout while it's still free to us. One feature that Google offers but we don't see implemented in Civicrm is notifications, which we use to confirm membership payment before enabling privileges such as reduced cost course registration. Paypal confirmed right away and the user was good to go, day or night.

I've searched the forum to no avail, and haven't found a good way to search the main site and blog for related info. Is this feature existing/in the queue/an interesting possibility? If the third one, I'll be glad to write something up and submit it to the feature request queue.

Note that this isn't the "confirmation page" or email, this is a hook back to the calling app to let them know the payment went through.

Thanks for any responses!

Dave Maddox

we do implement google checkout notifications, similar to paypal.

you need to set the url in your google settings as documented here: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Google+Checkout+Configuration

you can check files/civicrm/upload/CiviCRM.log to see if a callback was received and if so what happened to it
