Practical limit to number of tags?
September 20, 2014, 09:28:38 pm
I've never been much of a tags user, but I'm doing a Salsa migration, and my client has 727 Salsa tags.  I programmatically added them to Civi, then went to see how they came through, so I clicked on "Manage Tags".  My web browser froze for several seconds, then I got this message:

Code: [Select]
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

Script: http://<redacted>.local/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/jquery/jquery-1.11.1.js?nc7o6h:346

After stopping the script, I saw that the inline editing interface had only been applied to the first 300 or so entries.

"Manage Groups" uses a pager, so this problem is avoided - perhaps "Manage Tags" needs a pager as well?
