CiviDiscount menu link directing to dashboard

Running Joomla 2.5.24 and CiviCRM 4.5.

After successfully upgrading from CiviCRM 4.4 CiviDiscount now redirects to the dashboard.

Tried rebuilding the menu, clearing the cache, and disabling the extension and then re-enablnig the extension with no success.

I just noticed I have this problem too, as well as the civiBooking extension I just installed directing me to the admin configuation overview page..

I just noticed the url the menu opens for Discount is cividiscount_reset_1 instead of cividiscount?reset=1 - if I put that in manually the right page does come up

So a temp solution for me is to bookmark cividiscount?reset=1 until I can figure out where the menu is being built/saved

I'm not sure why the menu items would have broken, but have you tried rebuilding the menus from the administrator area?

Yes rebuilding the menu is the first thing I've tried.. somehow something is changed between 4.4 and 4.5 that affects different things such as the menu parsing

I actually would tend to think that the problem is in the CiviDiscount extension itself, not Civi.  Did you upgrade to the newest version (3.0) after you upgraded Civi to 4.5?

Where would we look in Core to find where the menu gets parsed for an extension?  I have this with Discount and Booking extensions (and menu rebuild doesn't help unfortunately)

check:

_cividiscount_civix_civicrm_xmlMenu and _cividiscount_civix_insert_navigation_menu in cividiscount.civix.php

both should be called when the module is enabled

I am also having this problem with CiviBooking, which I just installed, but NOT with CiviDiscount... which I just upgraded.

Anybody know of any fixes?
