Autocomplete js error on upgrade to 4.5.0

When using a contact "autocomplete" field (like Current Employer), it simply doesn't work.

Did not notice this problem in 4.5beta but seeing these errors:

Code: [Select]
TypeError: tplURL is undefined crm.ajax.js:25
"Warning: CRM.url called before initialization" crm.ajax.js:18
TypeError: tplURL is undefined crm.ajax.js:25
"Warning: CRM.url called before initialization" crm.ajax.js:18
I have done the following:
* cleared templates_c
* cleared browser cache
* switched themes

Still not fixed.  Any ideas?

Hey Stuart,

There are quite a few posts on this problem.

I think the Image Upload URL gets badly configured post upgrade. I fixed by correcting that field - might want to try that.

I think it gets confused with multisites and non apache servers, etc.

Thanks, but sorry, but I did an earlier google search as well as a forum search and found no other posts on this specific issue.  After your reply I then found this post under "help screens" which was not my symptom.  Now that I look, I have this problem as well, so I will post in that thread.

I checked the Image Uploads URL as it is listed in System Settings > Resource URLs and it appears well formed and working properly.   I am on an Apache server.

The symptom of this issue is attached.

FYI due to the large number of posts from people suffering major javascript failures due to incorrect url settings, we are switching core javascript to no longer rely on those settings on 4.5.1 (scheduled for this week) - this should make people's upgrade experiences smoother, although getting those settings correct is still a good idea.

Did I make it clear that the URL settings were not the problem on my install?  menu/rebuild solved my issue.  The URL were correct and needed no adjustment.

Good to know. I've also added menu rebuild to our upgrade script.
