How to Export all Contact Information

Is there any way to simply export all information (first name, last name, city, and all other fields) for all contacts?

It seems to me like the closest thing to this is to create a customized report, but maybe I am missing something. Is there some easier, straight forward out of the box way to export this information (to csv)?

You could simply to a search without any criteria which will show you all contacts in CiviCRM. The (from the dropdown menu) simply choose export contacts and select the fields you want to include in the export.
