WordPress, Jetpack, and Event Scheduled Reminders
October 16, 2014, 08:44:49 pm
I just found a problem with running Jetpack on WordPress with CiviCRM. I am currently running WordPress 4.0 with the Jetpack and CiviCRM 4.5.2 plugins. The problem I have found is that if the Jetpack Notifications modules is enabled and I try to create a scheduled reminder for an event, the Edit Scheduled Reminder page fails to load CKEditor and the Insert Token drop-down menus are blank.

Earlier, when I didn't realize that Jetpack Notifications was causing a problem, I thought the problem was the source of the scheduled reminder fatal errors I had posted about: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,34506.0.html. However, that does not appear to be the case. I'm still trying to fix my scheduled reminders.

I do not need the Notifications module so I am going to leave it deactivated. However, someone who understands PHP better than I do may want to look into this.

Thanks,

Yes, there is at least one other post recently (http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,34371.msg146229.html#msg146229) about JetPack's Notification Module causing trouble (and a quick search turns up a history of problems with JetPack).  Thank you for confirming that it wasn't an isolated incident.  I'm hoping to take a closer look at it when I can get a few spare moments, but maybe someone else will get to it first :)
