providing contribution id

I would like to provide contribution id on the list of contributions associated with a contact.
I have made a copy of Contribute/Selector/Search.php in my custom php dir.
Since we are not using contribution_source I tried replacing that with contribution_id.
contribution_id does not seem to be available.  I get an empty column.  How do I pull
the contribution ID into the results?

Have you also placed the corresponding template into the custom templates directory and made the corresponding edit there as well?

I'd recommend enabling debugging (Administer > System Settings > Debugging) and then adding &smartyDebug=1 to the URL. This will give u a pop-up window w/ all the available smarty variables.

It looks to me like contribution_id s/b available in the $rows array.
