Terminology - Event vs Activity

Is event the proper name ? There is a risk of confusion with the events as in CiviEvent.

Here, the "event" is more an activity than an event.

Moreover, it could be handy to be able to plan "events" eg. when planing "Andrew goes to the store", you can plan an activity "enter the store" for this afternoon, and it allows to check if this has been done as planned or if Andrew went fishing instead (and knowing Andrew, that's not unlikely

That's a good point, xavier. As we flush out the definitions, we will attempt to use the existing definitions in CiVi. One of the questions that we've run into is the activities/events.

Here's one possibility:

We could call each of the objects "milestones" and milestones have two categories, "activity milestones" (what we are now calling "primary events" which map with the current activities in CiViCRM "non-activity milestones" (our "secondary events", the ones that are proxied by communication activities, or activity milestones.)

Each case would then have >=2 milestones, each case having one milestone that defines the beginning of the case, and one milestone that defines the end of a case, with all others being optional.
