I'm experiencing a strange problem with CiviCase in 4.5.1.... before posting something ambiguous to the forum, I'd like to see if I can uncover some more information, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Can anyone point me in the direction which would show me where the timelines and sequences are stored? This was set by XML file prior to 4.5. Upon upgrade, it doesn't look like Civi respects changes to the XML files anymore, but I can't find where the changes are now stored.

It has changed. The format is still XML, and the XML structure is largely unchanged, but the mechanism/location is different:

1. It first checks for XML in the DB (civicrm_case_type.definition). If the DB has a NULL definition, then it looks for a file.
2. If anyone edits the case-type, then the new version is stored and loaded from the DB. (Civi often lacks permission to change files.)
