Mailing Label Sort

When printing mailing labels is there a way to sort them by zip code or custom data field?

There have been regressions on this in some versions BUT the expected behavior is that the mailing labels should respect the current sort in search results. So if you sort your search results by postal code, the labels should spit out in that order.
