Splitting Fee Level in columns
October 20, 2014, 03:24:03 pm
Hey there, long time CIVI user.
We're in the process of upgrading and configuring CIVI 4.5 within wordpress.

We had a standalone version running 3.1.3.  We mainly use the CIVIevent feature.  I can't seem to figure out how to split the fee level into columns.  This is a crucial piece when running the report.  For example we register someone for our event, in the registration process they select a start time of the event, along with a T-shirt size.

I need to be able to run a report and have a separate column for each fee type so when I have 2000 registrants I can quickly sort out in Excel how many people plan to start at which time, or figure out how many small t-shirts to order.  Currently on 4.5 it puts all fee levels into one single column.

In 3.1.3 there is a small box I can check to split the fees out.  Also in 3.1.3, I run the report using a feature called EXTENDED EVENT REPORT.

Looking for any and all advice.

Unless different start times and/or T-shirt sizes have different fee levels, I think you may be better off separating the paying of fees from the collection of custom data such as start time and T-shirt sizes. I would use a profile to collect that information.

If you want to stick with you current set up then Price Set Details for Event Participants located at Search > Custom Searches may provide the breakdown you want.

Thanks Joanne I will start looking at what it takes to set up a profile.

I was really just looking to export all data/fields into a spreadsheet like I had done with the prior version, so I can use the info as needed.

The old way of splitting out the fees would have alleviated that.

thanks for the tips
