Can you batch update relationships/contact reference fields?

I've created a new relationship type and have several hundred people who need relevant information adding to their record. Is it possible to batch update relationships? I'd love to select 100 people at a time and then use batch update to update who people are mentored by. I can't currently see if batch update can handle relationships and completing contact reference fields.

Lindsey,

You can batch update relationships to organizations and households with "Add Contact to Organization [/Household", but not Individual to Individual!  Very frustrating, and at the top of my list of extensions to write when I've got a minute AND I've finished the already-started extensions - which is probably some time in the next Presidential administration.

There's no way to use batch update to do contact reference fields, unfortunately.

Eileen McNaughton has written an extension that allows data to be uploaded for any entity that has an API. See https://civicrm.org/extensions/api-csv-import-gui
