I use Shopping Cart Style Event Registration and my event is a paid event. I setup a PayPal Standard payment processor and assigned it to the event. When I check out my shopping cart, I get errors (but the same payment processor is working fine in a contribution page). Here is the CiviCRM log(paths are shortened):

Is it a bug in shopping cart?

It quite likely is - we were advised the shopping cart code was immature & hence have never used it & always integrated with drupal commerce or ubercart instead
