Setting Up Sender ID
October 31, 2014, 04:25:03 am
Have set up account with Clickatell and configured SMS provider settings in CiviCRM. Messages arrive, but say they come from +247050000, so trying to set Sender ID working. Clickatell confirm that a  Sender ID is set up on our account, and say that the problem may be that we need to use the from parameter so it matches the Sender ID we have registered with them - in this case from=RedbridgeCVS. Do I put this in the API Parameters field along with the api_id parameter, and if so what's the syntax? Or do I do it some other way? Or can it not be done in CiviCRM?

Answer turns out to be that the "from=RedbridgeCVS" parameter goes on the next line - separate them by a line break and it works.

Thanks for posting the answer. Was there any documentation that you referred to when you set up the SMS processor initially? If so, would you be able to update the documentation with your extra info to help others that have this question in future.

Thanks,
Michael
