Relationship Report with Contact A = Organization : gets "No Result"
November 03, 2014, 07:33:09 am
I have created new Relationship Types between Organizations and Individuals (to define different functions in the Organizations) : Staff, Organizer, Presenter, Kitchener, ...
I want to list all the individuals in relationship with my Organizations
If I set : Contact Type A > is one of > Organization
I get : "No Result"
(Also checked on the Demo Site)

Hi - you don't say which demo and provide no links.

Are you saying you created Relationships where Contact A is an org and Contact B is an individual and then filtering in report to make Contact A an org doesn't work?

I just tested on drupal demo and see no problems based on above - screen shot attached

shows Body1 as the Org and My Leg as the individual

Hi Petednz,

Thank you for your quick answer (and sorry for this late one, but, being retired, my agenda is full up : grand children, golf, ...  )  ;)

I think I understand : I thought that Contact A and B in the report were just related to column 1 and column 2 of the report, while I understand that it is related to Contact A and B in the relationship definition.
And I see that, in the demo, Contact A are always Individuals : this is why my test failed

Thus, if I want to have Organization in column 1 of the report, I must define the Organization as Contact A in the relationship definition : correct ?
Is there any inconvenience in doing this ?

Have a nice WE
