Moving CiviCRM to new site
November 04, 2014, 01:16:56 am
Hi,

I'm very new to CiviCRM and i'm doing a project to move CiviCRM to a new website (from xyz.com to abc.com).

I followed the doc http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Moving+an+Existing+Installation+to+a+New+Server+or+Location step by step and all went fine, except that when i log into CiviCRM the dashboard (Civi News) will show Access Denied error (attached).

If i try to login, it will accept my username and password but it will redirect me to the old website xyz.com

I checked civicrm.settings and all the DIR path and all seems fine to me.

Is there anything i missed?

appreciate your assistance

Hershel

Sounds like either your templates_c cache wasn't deleted or you forgot to update your BASE_URL in civicrm.settings.php
