Call to undefined function module_exists() when installing 4.4.6 on Drupal 7
November 05, 2014, 06:46:57 am
Hi,

When I hit sites/all/modules/civicrm/install/index.php to install, it loads a blank page. In the error log it shows this error message:

Code: [Select]
Call to undefined function module_exists() in /.../sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/ClassLoader.php on line 85
It seems that CiviCRM can't find the Drupal code. Why is this happening and how can I prevent it? The drupal instance underneath is working fine. Even more bizarrely, I copied it from another environment where CiviCRM installed without any problem.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Or any suggestions?

Odd message. Are you certain you have the correct version of CiviCRM? There are different ones for Drupal 6 and Drupal 7.

Yep, it's for Drupal 7 - I just checked in the /civicrm/drupal/civicrm.info file. Besides, the same code was working on a different server.

I never resolved this issue, but I managed to migrate CiviCRM without doing a new install in the new location - first time that's happened!

Once you get it once, you can do it again. :)

Glad you got it resolved somehow.
