Profiles w Contact Subtype info don't appear as options for Events

When I'm selecting profiles to appear in my event online registration, I've noticed that any profile containing information from a contact subtype doesn't appear in the drop-down list. I recently upgraded to 4.5.2 running on Drupal 7.32. I know I was able to include this information in events on my previous version (4.4.6). But now, the profiles don't appear as an option in the drop down menu, nor do the contact subtype fields appear in the 'Edit Profile' overlay that pops up when you click the 'Create' button by the 'Include Profile' section. I tried it out on the demo site, and got the same results. Am I looking at a bug here? Or is it some kind of feature change? Or am I just missing something obvious?

I believe this was already fixed in 4.5.3

I upgraded to 4.5.3, and I still can't access profiles containing custom data relating to Contact sub-types from the Events online registration configuration. The profiles I created in earlier versions of Civi still show up on the front-end event registration page, but when I go in to edit it, the profile is not listed.

The difference I see in 4.5.3 is that when I create or edit a profile in the event registration page, the list of custom fields displayed in the overlay window does include custom fields relating to the Contact sub-types. However, when I drop down the field name to access it's elements, none of them are there. In fact, when I first open the event for editing, I see the warning:

The selected profile is using a custom field which is not assigned to the Event being configured.

This comes up even when I haven't changed anything in the event- it just contains the profiles that were there before I upgraded the site.

just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem? I tried again on the demo site and get the same result of not being able to access any profiles that include Individual sub-type custom fields from the Events registration editing screen. This is a problem for many of our events that ask the registrant to fill in some of that custom information. I can see the custom field set listed in the events profile editor, but when I expand it, there are no options to select.

Hey there,

I'm Not 100% clear on if you are saying that this is replicable on the demo site.  If so, I would post detailed instructions on how to replicate in a bug report and get it in the issue tracker so that it can be fixed in the next version.  If not, let us know and people can hopefully suggest some other things to try.
