Recurring ACH payment, Status - "Failed", Invalid Customer Code

Recent ACH recurring contributions are being marked by CIVI with a "Failed" Status and "iATS Payments ACHEFT Recurring Contribution (id=166) Invalid customer code" in the Source column of the donor's contributions record. I have double checked the codes in the "Administer, System Settings, Payment Processors" and they are properly set. Our processor, (iATS), says that it is a failure on the Civi side of the transactions. Anybody have any ideas?

Can iATS tell you if the customer code is being transmitted correctly? Can they tell you what precisely is being sent? With more information, we could try to debug the code on the CiviCRM end.
