"Define Volunteer Needs" not working in Civi 4.5.3

I recently upgraded my CiviCRM from 4.4.6 to 4.5.3 (and CiviVolunteer to 4.5-1.3.2). Since the upgrade, whenever I go to "define volunteer needs" for an event, the "Define Volunteer Needs" window just perpetually 'loads' with the a "Loading..." message.
