Might help if you repost your query in english. I dont think any of the core developers speak german (maybe michal and piotr speak a bit) and our community is still fairly small etc (that german support might not be available)

Hy,
Ok I will try it in English…
Just discovered CiviCRM yesterday and I´m not sure how everything is working… I’m using Joomla … I’m right if I assume that the Joomla registered users accounts are not automatically uses in CiviCRM ?

Here is my first problem. I installed the German translation but the in German used characters “ä-ü-ö-ß” are not shown correctly. Have a look at the attachment.
How can I solve his?  Thanks for help

No, they’re not. Still, you can use the Administer CiviCRM → Synchronize
Users-to-Contacts
functionality to do this.

Joomla by default uses the ISO-8859-1 encoding, while we use the UTF-8 encoding. Joomla 1.5 will use UTF-8, and your best bet is to switch your Joomla install to use UTF-8. See the following threads on the same issue:

To clarify – newly created Joomla users should be added as CiviCRM contacts; if this is not happening, please file an issue in our issue tracker.

To clarify the clarification :)

A newly created Joomla user does NOT result in the creation of a CiviCRM contact. You have to click the sync-users-to-contact menu item to create the contact.

Argh, apologies. I was sure it works the same way Drupal does. :(
