Status id

Hi there

Every Member has a Membership status.

This Status is Current,New,Canceled ....... Deceased and it's located on Civicrm_Membership_status table  and it's connected with Civicrm_Membership table  with the column status_id.

So the problem that i  have is .
The Members that are Canceled if i go on Find contribution report i cannot see them because they are canceled  that means that report is not correct because they are not there.(And if i want to add them  but on these report )

If I change the status and from canceled make it current or new i can see these Members on Find Contributions report.

So the questions  are 2

1.  If i change the status from canceled, will this change restart a year or month payment that this member had before.
Or it will have the Member only as current?

2. How can  i  show them on a Find Contributions report although they are canceled so that i am able to add them on a Find Contribution Report  with the criteria that i want ?

I Need guidance .

totten  do you have any idea?

Thanks

totten

I think there other folks who can answer this better than me, but you'd probably find them in the CiviMember forum ( http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/board,15.0.html ).

Since I don't know where the move topic button is, I am going to answer here...

This seems strange.  It sounds like you are saying that if you cancel a membership, those contributions do not appear in a Find contributions report.

Any chance you could replicate on demo and give URLs point to what you did, the reports, etc. so that we can take a closer look?

Thanks,
Michael

Sorry - I am afraid that I cannot understand the problem from what you have written.

i cannot do what you asked cause of sensitive data.
Actually, I think you might be able to. I was not asking you to put sensitive data no the demo servers. Just some example data that shows the problem. Then maybe some screenshots. Since I think seeing it will be easier to understand that you trying to explain it in words.

I too am finding it hard to understand your problem.  In your first post you mention memberships, membership status, and the Find Contributions search.  In you reply to Michael you talk about donors and memberships.  You are not being consistent with your terminology and that is making it hard for us to understand you problem.  I realise English is not your first language, so I am going to ask some very specific questions with the hope that your answers will help us work out what your problem is. (You say the problem started with an error during the migration of data into CiviCRM, so I am not sure you will be able replicate those conditions on the demo site.  If you can put dummy data into the demo site and posts screen shots of your problems as Michael suggested that would be the best way to help us understand.)

on the migration to civic

Q1.  Was this an import of data from a CSV file  via the CiviCRM User Interface OR was it done some other way?
If it was done via the UI did you Import Contacts and/or Import Memberships and/or Import Contributions?
If it was done some other way please explain how it was done.

some current donors went by "mistake on query"(i have no idea) as canceled and not as current

Q2 Do you mean:
Some contact records ("donors"  are contacts)  have been put into Trash?
OR Some contribution records (records of money received) have a status of 'cancelled' instead of 'completed'?
OR Some memberships have a status of 'cancelled' instead of the status 'current' (or 'expired' if the end date is in the past).

when i ask (Report ) ((about (some criteria) it doesn't show me the column of membership Id  because these donors are Canceled

Q3 What report?  Is it the results you get when you do a Find Contributions search (as you said in your first post)? If so then I don't see a column for membership IDs on that page so have you customised the results page?

OR  Is it a report based on one of the standard CiviCRM report templates?  If so which report template?

OR Is it a custom report you have written?
