There is a resubscribe token which allows users to resubscribe to mailing lists they have unsubscribed from. Is there a way to have similar functionality for opt out? i.e. if a user has opted out of all mailings, allow them the option to opt back in?

There are a few (re)subscribe tokens in 4.5. Have you looked at that? Maybe they are also in your version. See screenshot and feel free to play on the demo.

PS it maybe a stupid question given the existence of these tokens, but I always wondered how they would they receive the mail if they have opted out or unsubscribed??

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply. I know you can resubscribe - this was about whether you can opt back in. So if you have opted out of all mailings (rather than unsubscribed) then the option to opt back in.
I know what you mean about receiving the mailing - I guess the thought is that you may have unsubscribed but still have mailing there if you want to re-subscribe. However if I had unsubscribed from something, I think I would also delete the email!

Did you think about creating a webform or a profile that exposed the opt out field?
