Membership start date for renewal

Hello,

We have a membership type that start 1st of january and that end 31st of december.
When a member renew now to be member until the 31 december of 2015 the start date membership stay the date of 1st membership (1st january 2014)

That's an issue for us for the membership receipt because it's memtionned membership from 1st january 2014 until 31 st december 2015.

How could we have 1 st january for 2015

The start date is the date the current continuous membership started.  It does not change if someone renews whilst their membership is still current.

In the example you give the membership started on 1st January 2014 and will end on 31st December 2015.

The payment they have just made is for the membership period from 1st January 2015 till 31st December 2015.

If you think your members will be confused I would customise your receipts to just show the new expiry date of 31st December 2015.

If you really have to show the start and end dates of the period covered by the payment, then you might be able to to get the start date for the payment by subtracting 12 months from the new end date.
