Membership Summary Report does not populate

Since upgrading to CiviCRM 4.5 (now on 4.5.4), I haven't been able to get any stats out of this report even though we have about 600 or so members, despite trying several configurations.  Nor does it show any stats in the dashboard, although the module itself does show.  The same happens with the Membership Details report (Message: "Sorry No Results Found").  The Lapsed Memberships and Contribution and Membership Details reports run OK.

"Find Memberships" search criteria work OK too.

Does anyone know if I am I missing something in configuration please?

28/11/2014 - Just discovered that in the Contribution and Membership Details report, the half of the report that should contain the membership details is not populated.

It would be nice to know whether anyone else has experienced this problem before I consider reporting it as a potential bug.

pete - if you are thinking this might be a bug then it is always worth comparing your experience with what the official demo sites provide

Re my earlier posts on this topic, I just thought you would like to know that the reports in CiviCRM Memberships are now starting to populate themselves.  It seems that the earlier mass import of memberships and contributions that I did are not showing up (the member details are OK but not the contributions), but newer manual entries are showing in full.
