Problem with paypal standard and session timeout

Most of the time while testing with a membership sign up page, using the paypal regular sandbox, I am seeing the following error when paypal returns to the site after completing payment. The was nothing wrong with the payment but the user is going to be extremely confused by this message.

Error:

Your browser session has expired and we are unable to complete your form submission. We have returned you to the initial step so you can complete and resubmit the form. If you experience continued difficulties, please contact us for assistance.

Is there a way to fix this?

Make sure you're logged in to the live Paypal account in the same browser you're using to test sandbox functionality. And be aware that memberships and contributions that are created by the contribution page will only show up if you search for "... is a test".
