Your user record does not have a valid email address

Thanks to the help of a freelancer, I have groups, profiles, standalone forms everything done and works great.

What I am trying to do is when I go to CiviCRM and choose Find Contacts, click on View next to the contact (me as a test case) and click Send Mail - in a yellow box at the top it tells me

Your user record does not have a valid email address

I know the email address is good so is there something I am leaving out/missing?  Thanks.

Check that the contact record associated w/ your login also has a valid email address. (This is used as the sender.)
