Unique Fields
December 02, 2014, 02:17:50 am
Dear Civi Community,

When we tried to edit a field inline we discovered that we couldn't. It would show the green tick, but the field's entry wouldn't have changed. It emerged that the entry into the field wasn't unique!

When I took a look at our schema that field has "unique" set on it. Fine, but I can't see this anywhere in Civi - am I just not looking in the right place?

My theory is:
a) if the DB transaction fails a message should show
b) if we don't have a "make this field's entry unique" flag for each field then we probably should have it.
If you like empowering charities in a free and open way, then you're going to love Civi.
