custom email upon donation

We need to send a custom email upon donation - in addition to the thank you email, if an email address is provided for an honoree (we are using a custom honoree profile with the donation form) then we want to send an email to that honoree.

Trying to think of the best way to go about this, and hoping that I am missing some simple tool or functionality.   ;D 

I was hoping that this could be done with CiviCRM Rules Integration or CiviCRM Entities, but still not seeing the necessary event in the React on Event dropdown.

The basic logic is:

-Donation form submitted

-if honoree email address provided
---construct email to honoree, using field values from donation form (donation profile and honoree profile)
---send email


Suggestions on how to achieve this?   ???

If your event is not available via Rules then it would appear that you would have to use custom code, probably an extension being best.

I don't think this is easy to solve it probably requires some kind of programming. You could check if the honnorree has an activity recorded upon donation and then you could use scheduled reminders.

I am not sure what your budget is but we are working for Amnesty Vlanders and MAF Norge the develop a civi rules extension for exactly such tasks as you describe.
