Weird double entries when exporting to CSV
December 03, 2014, 05:13:50 am
Hi

My problem is superweird, I simply can't understand what is going on.....
When I try to export all my contacts into a CSV file, i get duplicates that are not present in Civi. Not every entry just some.
The weird part is according to my database, there are 35069 entries in Civi. in the CSV, there are 35069 entries, but some, maybe 8000 are duplicates.

If I check one of the entries that was a duplicate in the CSV file, there is only one entry in the Cviv database.
I did compare an entry that was duplicated and one entry that was not duplicated, and there is no difference in the entries (except name, email and address). There is only one primary entry for address and email.

If anyone have any insight in this, I would really apreciate your help

so you are saying you checked and it is not due to multiple emails etc - and there are no other fields in the row that are not 1:1 such as relationships/employer/websites etc?

Yeah, we only store name, address, email, and 4 custom fields.
The main purpose is to send out email blasts.

I'm having a hard time visualizing this.  Would it be possible to post an (anonymized) example?
