Bounce Process using Google Apps - SPAM folder
December 04, 2014, 06:25:27 am
Hi,

I am using google apps to process the bounced emails from CiViCRM. The problem I have is the bounced emails often end up in the SPAM.

So I need it to poll both the INBOX and the SPAM Folder.

If I leave the source parameter in the mail account settings empty it processes the inbox fine.

If I put any combination of INBOX.SPAM , just SPAM etc in the source parameter the process fails because it says it cab't access it.

One option is to set up filters in my SPAM folder to put any mail delivery failures back into the inbox but thats not an ideal situation, I'd rather handle it from CiViMail

Any thoughts?

Donald Lobo

we use ezc mail to process folders and incoming mail

U might want to check and debug the code here: CRM/Mailing/MailStore*

and try and figure out why its not connecting to the other mailboxes

If you do find a bug, please file an issue and submit a PR so others can benefit

may not help in your case but we use a Filter in gmail

http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,32850.msg145512.html#msg145512

(settings/filters) set up Spam filter as Has the words --- is:spam (as per http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-disable-and-deactivate-spam-filter-protection-in-gmail-or-google-mail/) AND Do this: Never send it to Spam
