My client is a national organization and wants to create a USA map of its constituent organizations.

Those orgs are all organization contacts in CiviCRM with their street addresses successfully Geocoded in Civi via Yahoo and Civi's scheduled job.

Site uses Drupal 7.34 with Views/Civi integration is in place.

Site uses CiviCRM 4.5.4.

You can do this with a CiviCRM Profile.
- create a smart group for your organizations
- enable Mapping provider if not already done (System Settings > Mapping)
- create a profile with Limit Listings to that group and mapping enabled
- add org name and other desired fields, setting fields to Public visibility, searchable.
- navigate to the profile with force=1 added to URL, and you'll see a Map these Contacts URL
- use this URL to display the map

Other options if you need features like 'clustering' so you see eg a 5 in a circle if 5 orgs are v close proximity you can using Open Layers in Views on Drupal
