Javascript/AJAX errors after upgrading
December 04, 2014, 08:30:41 pm
Hi all

Just upgraded our installation from 4.4 to 4.5 and now having issues with javascript. It seems to be randomly certain sections that use JS or AJAX in the interface aren't working now. For instance the quick search box just sits there forever, fieldsets don't expand properly, etc.

Any ideas? Some errors below

Hi Coleman

I tried many of them but now I have tried everything I could find related to my setup (Drupal under Linux) including:

[X]Clear templates_c
[X]civicrm/menu/rebuild?reset=1
[X] Administer > System Settings >  Cleanup Caches and Update Paths > Cleanup Caches button
[X]Can you make sure your resource directory matches your resource url (there are twin settings pages under Admin -> System Settings "Directories" and Resource URLs - you should check both screens and make sure the paths match).
[X]Clearing the Resource URL for the image directory, letting it default, then resetting did not work.
[X]Checking civicrm_root in civicrm.settings.php
[X] a htaccess file in "\upload" directory - moving it made no difference

My guess is that one or more of your js resources are not loading. Can you open up your page source and search for l10n-js and click on it and see if it is loading. If that one is fine, check the others.

Solved it - it wasn't that but when I was going through the files I noticed they were all minified. Not normally an issue but after playing around with the advagg module settings, I found that I had to disable JS bundling. Now works! Thanks for the inspiration.
