Needing two types of Event Registration Pages.
December 05, 2014, 10:01:02 am
Can I create two types of Event Registration template files based on Event Type OR can I show/hide items in one template based on Event Type?

Here’s the scenario:  I have users who must complete a specific Profile because of liability issues (ie. For Construction Build Events/Safety issues, etc.).  When a user registers for an Event Type of “Build” they must not be able to Register other users.  Civi’s default Event Registration has a link “to register a different person?”.  This is ok for Fundraisers or Education but we can not allow this for “Build” event types.

So our question is how can we remove that type of verbage/link from the Registration Page for a Build event and keep if for a Fundraiser event?

Have you tried to create an event template yourself to see what  options are available?  When I do that answers to your questions are obvious.

Sorry.  ???  I was not clear on my first post.   Yes. I have created an Event Template.   I actually meant "Page Template" for an Event.

I'm not a programmer and was looking at http://book.civicrm.org/developer/current/techniques/templates/
to determine if we can do what I asked in the first post.

Thanks

I wonder if a template could be made by event type as referenced here: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Customize+Built-in,+Profile,+Contribution+and+Event+Registration+Screens

Now that I properly understand your problem I can't help, other than to point out that the latest developer documentation is found at  http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Develop. You should not refer to http://book.civicrm.org/developer/ as it is no longer maintained and was written for CiviCRM 4.2.
