AJAX/REST and Wordpress

I've been looking at ldapcivi for a client as a way to expose the contact database to mobile devices and I've been spinning my wheels trying to make it work and I think I may have found a bug in REST on Wordpress. My limited testing has shown that Drupal seems to work without problems. I'm running fairly minimal Wordpress installs, and I'm almost certain at this point that it's not a plugin conflict. I've also done testing from different browsers and the command-line with wget and curl, so I'm pretty confident it's not a problem with ldapcivi.

What happens is that an API request via the REST interface always returns no contacts on Civi/Wordpress, but will return contacts correctly against Civi/Drupal. Oddly, the request will work in Chrome, but not Firefox or Safari.

I have not tested this on 4.5.x yet. Both clients I have that are interested in this will be using 4.4 for a while. Is it possible to test this against the demo sites? I'd need the site key and an api key
