Membership Tokens Not Showing in Email

I set up a Scheduled Reminder for Membership Renewals. The HTML editor shows the "usable tokens" and I insert them, which none are custom. When I send a email with the template all the tokens display correctly except the those associated with membership. So I'm not sure if this is a civimember issue or a civimail issue. The tokens are membership.fee and membership.end_date.

The info I have found on forums talks about custom tokens and adding hooks but I'm not sure if this applies to my issue because of basically using the system straight out of the box and no custom work done. I would think that civimember and civimail would already be hooked correctly for what seems to be a routine event. So I'm thinking this might be a user issue on my end...but not sure?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
