Case tags in view
December 06, 2014, 03:30:44 am
Hi all,

Struggling to get Case tags to appear in a view.
All other tags work fine, but the only tag fields I can add are related to contacts, not cases.

Any ideas?

Thanks again.

Possibly silly but did you check the setup of the tags? You can identify for each tag if they are used on contact, case, activity etc?

Not silly at all!

The tags are set up for Cases only, but I did experiment by adding them to Contacts too, they function normally then.

However, we use them as sub-case identifiers and would like to keep this functionality.

This is in CiviCRM 4.5? Is a known issue already as some of the case configuration has been updated in 4.5?

This is in 4.5.3.

I'm not sure this is a known issue or if I'm just not creating the view correctly.

Hmm...

Can you check the data in the civicrm table civicrm_entity_tag to check if the data looks ok in the civi DB? If that is the case then your view is definitely suspect  ;)

As far as I can tell, the table looks good.

For the view, I get the regular tag field as an option, if I select that, I can see all contact tags (no case tags).

Is there a different field I should be looking for other than CiviCRM Tags: Name?

Here are the only tag options I can find:

Still struggling with this issue.

If I select to filter on CiviCRM Tags: Name, I can see the case tags and add them to the filter.

If I use the view and select any of the tags as a filter, I get no results.  I know each of the case tags are associated with more than 10 clients.

If I use the Civi Case Search, I see the correct results, but I'd like to be able to keep folks out of the back-end as much as possible.

Thanks.
