Searching on multiple Event Types
December 09, 2014, 02:21:58 am
I'm trying to make a search which returns participants of 8 different event types. I can't see how to accomplish this using either the Advanced Search or the Search Builder.

The Advanced Search only lets you choose a single Event Type when searching, and the Search Builder doesn't seem to offer the field as a choose in either the Participant or Activity entities.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Thanks.

Did you look at event reports? That might do what you need.

There doesn't seem to be a report which offers what I need, and also not sure if you can save reports and their filters as a Smart Group, which was my ultimate aim.

For anyone searching - in the end I made separate searches for each Event Type, saved them as a Smart Group each, then finally did an Advanced Search and searched for all my Smart Groups simultaneously to combine them.
