filter on the date that a profile form was submitted
December 10, 2014, 12:36:59 pm
Is there a way to retrieve the date that a profile form was submitted?

I'd like to pull up a list of people who submitted a certain profile form in the last 90 days. Using a Drupal view, I can filter on the date that the contact was created or updated, but that might not always be the same date that the profile form was submitted.

I also don't see a date in the table in which the custom fields in the profile is stored?

Can this be done?  Where would I look for this date?

You'd have to query the change log, but again there's no guarantee that the data was changed by that specific profile. The information you are looking for is simply not stored in the db.
A good alternative would be to use a webform + civicrm integration instead of a profile. Then you get native views support and the submission date is easy to query.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

would also be good to get the views-civi code aware of the log tables in civi as i can see circumstances where putting together views tables of specific types of changes could be pretty useful - (goes looking for views civi wishlist)

Thank you.

Thinking about what to tell the client ... is it possible to add a custom field to the profile form that would auto fill with today's date?  To make reporting easier in the future?
